Why hello there!
Gosh, I was so excited for holidays cause I was thinking about how I could just lay around all day and play guitar. So now that it has been a week into holidays, and I so damn bored. Well, I was really bored yesterday, but today wasn't so bad.
I took a bus to where our new house is going to be, and searched around to see what shops are around...and also search for jobs. I gave in my resume to so many places, I don't remember them all, I really hope I get at least one interview for my troubles...it did take me 1 hour and a half to get there!
On the plus side, I did discover something amazing that I just know I am going to enjoy. One 10 minute bus ride from my new house is an amazing musical instrument store. And it is HUMUNGA JUNGA. They sell EVERYTHING! Drums, pianos, guitars! I have a feeling I am going to be going there a lot. Finally, an instrument store near my house! I actually went in there today and started talking to the lovely sales assistant. After half an hour of explaining to him my guitar situation and how I want a new one, he kindly plugged in all the guitars of my choice for me to have a little jamming session. I felt bad, because he thought he was going to make a sale today...but he was wrong. As if I carry $700 around with me! Anyways, it was fun, for me at least.
I thought that it would suck that I had to do this all by myself, I am so used to having people around me, but it wasn't half bad. The along bus ride made me reflect on certain things, and it really gave me some alone time with myself! I should do it more often.
I also discovered that around my new house is a lot of plain fields, which reminds me a lot of the countryside. I really look forward to waking up to just nature, rather than the fence of my next door neighbour.
Also, I got my hair dyed today, I feel so different! Well, not really, just when I look at myself in the mirror, it will take some getting used to, but I really like it, I feel like a whole new person.
Just one more thing that I would like to share! Have you heard of Tegan & Sara? If not, boy are you missing out! I got their new album a few days ago, and seriously, I can't stop listening to it. I've probably listened to it 50 times by now. It is just pure awesomeness. Okay, there are some songs that I constantly skip over, but the songs that I listen to make up for that! I just love their songs, so unique! If you still don't know who I am talking about, their most famous song is probably "Back in your head". Still have no clue? Youtube them. I am afraid I am becoming obsessed with them, I am finding myself searching videos of them on youtube. I even...I am sad to admit...choose them...over...Paramore. There, I said it! But maybe that is because I am starting to loose respect for a certain lead singer of a certain band. Anyway, that is a whole other story that I really shouldn't get in to!
Sorry for the longness of this post, but I have a lot of thoughts.
