I think I'm gon' be a busy bee

Well turns out I have an oral to do this Wednesday that I thought was next week but is actually in two days so I'm kind of doing a crappy job researching at the moment. The plus side is, it's for the most pointless unit on the whole planet, so I don't really care. Got two more orals coming up next week, including one that is worth 10%, and I haven't even read the criteria yet. All I know is it's on some gene. And also a few major reports due as well. So yeah, sounds like I'm going to be a busy bee for the next two weeks. Also, I am supposed to be working on my upcoming oral right now but I really rather not.

In other news, my grand aunty and grand uncle got married! They'd been together for 14 years, so I guess it's about time they tied the knot. And what's even more awesome is that they got married at our house, the whole wedding was here! It was crazy, hectic, hilarious and heartwarming. And we got to keep all the left over food from catering so I'm pretty sure I have put on about 2kgs since. The downside was the whole crowd was really old and too interested in my personal life for their own good. The amount of times I had to repeat "No, I do not have a boyfriend". Gosh. And the amount of times I had to hear "Oh! Have I ever told you about my grandson?...". I should have just told them I was gay haha. But for the most part they were all sweet and loved to get down on the dance floor to some Elvis Presley. And I also overhead some sexual jokes too. My word!

Also, my godparents that came down for the wedding are staying with us for a few days. I love having them around the house! When I still lived in Sydney, they would babysit me every single day while my parents worked. So they raised me to some extent and I love having them back in the family (my rents and them got in a little bit of a feud after my parents moved to melbourne, but they are all good now!). I feel so comfortable and so myself around them, and I am never like that with old people! Plus they used to spoil me rotten, and they still do :P

I found out the background story as to why it was written, and it's quite sad. I think knowing the exact reason as to why an artist wrote a song makes you look at it differently and appreciate it more. Anyway, give it a listen, it's pretty good!
