Empathy, to the extreme

Sup y'all?

I haven't received Brand New Eyes (paramore's new album) yet, and it sucks. Well, according to my email, it said it should come by thursday, and today is thursday, so it BETTER come or a certain company will be receiving some VERY angry emails.

Anyway, i wanna share some odd feelings with you. Last night was paramore's first show to kick off their headlining tour in America. it was also the day Brand New Eyes comes out officially. I knew Hayley (lead singer) was sick before hand, but i never thought this would happen. As she was singing the hit song "decode", you could tell she was in some sort of pain, she looks angry and frustrated. towards the end of the song, she started headbanging wildly, and you could tell it wasn't cause she was into the song, she was angry...with herself. she picked up the mic stand and dashed it on the floor. she then didn't sing for the rest of the song, but gestured the audience to do so. when the song ended, she went to the front of the stage, bowed, and just walked off. the rest of the band members obviously didn't know what was going on, they looked at eachother, and just walked off too.
after 5 long minutes, josh (lead guitar) came back on stage followed by the rest of the guys and announced that Hayley was feeling unwell, and she couldn't possibly sing to finish the show, but he offered to play one more song, and asked if the audience would sing in place of hayley. of course they accepted, and misery business started playing. the audience sang SO LOUD, you couldn't even tell hayley wasn't there! after the song, they thanked the audience, and left the stage. that was the end of the show.

anyway, as i watched the videos of this event occuring, it got me really down. i dunno why, just a severe case of empathy i guess. i just thought it sucked that on that very special day, the day thier album comes out, the day of thier first tour, the day of josh's birthday, THAT had to happen. it's like on your birthday, something always goes wrong. well, i guess something had to go wrong on that very special day. i guess i was feeling pretty upset cause i knew how much that show meant to Hayley, and i was pretty sad that it had to work out like that. but today is a new day, and that was all in the past. hayley was tweeted and she said that she's eating soup or something, anyway, it implied she was resting, which is good!

what's really weird is that when something happens to me, i feel nothing, and that's cause I know i try not to think about it. just drown myself in music to get my mind off things. but when something happens to someone i care about (whether that be my closest friends or a celebrity that doesn't even know i exist), i can't stop thinking about it. why is it that humans feel other people's pain. isn't that a biological disadvantage in the real world? (i've been studying a lot of bio lately). hmm, just another question that it would take a life time of experinence to come up with some kind of answer.

oops, this post is long, geeze, i can never write short things. dang flabbit. oh well, i promise next time i will try to write not as much!

until next time, bye
